Headcharger

Metal-Punk-Stoner

Code name: Slow Motion Disease

Warning: Danger. The new virus developed by the French band Headcharger is devastating and particularly uncontrollable. It’s about to spread worldwide and to slowly infect everyone who comes into contact with it. An unknown human pathology will slowly but surely weaken people. This insidious infection has already been given a code name: Slow Motion Disease.

The tracks from Headcharger’s new album strongly affect the victims’ brain cells at a dazzling speed. The first analyses conducted by scientists have revealed that the last Headcharger virus results in a syndrome characterized by a loss of short term memory. This disease appears to be the result of the genetic mutation of a virus commonly found in a desert area of the United States where all the conditions for its growth were provided: dryness, extreme heat, intense exposition to the sun… All the patients share the same symptoms: short term memory loss, altered visual perception, in addition to a few-second-time-lag.

Since 2005, the 5 Headcharger viral agents have began to settle in their audience’s brain cells. They are the result of a musical mutation dating from the 70s. One germ has been identified as a strong and pathogenic mixture of stoner, metal and rock n roll. It stands at the crossroads of the sound of classic bands (AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple…), Southern Rock (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Clutch…) and modern influences (Metallica, Mastodon, Danko Jones…)

With their 4 albums filled with a powerful and contagious pure metal n roll, the quarantine is unavoidable. In Belgium, Spain, Switzerland and in the UK, reports have mentioned epileptic convulsions among the audience infected by the band’s performance. The number of victims is already up to many thousands. The band has already done more than 350 gigs including 2 Sonisphere (Spain and England) and a Hellfest. After having spread their contagious groove on European stages for the past few years, Headcharger is going to further expand.

With Slow Motion Disease, their new album mastered by Alan Douches (Sepultura, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon) and being spread by XIII Bis Records (In Flames, Motley Crue…), the Headcharger virus will be released on January 30, 2012. Then it will be spread worldwide by Warner Distribution and Platic Head Distribution. Warning: the pandemic is about to strike. The cure, that hasn’t yet been found, will only be available in clubs the band is playing at.
