The Straws

Formed back in the summer of 2005, The Straws is a power-rock trio which name is now well established in the Luxemburg Province of Belgium. The band published three self-produced demos in 2006, 2007 and 2008 which were acclaimed by both the audience and critics, and is back in the game this year with its debut album called « Red wine & canapés ». Armed with a cast-iron rhythmic section serving energetic guitars and melodic vocals, the combo delivers a punk and brit-pop tinted rock, without ever feeling the need to label themselves or close creative doors. The three buddies started out in the purest “do it yourself” tradition and along the way they shared stages with bands such as Matmatah, I Am X, Girls in Hawaï, Deportivo, Hollywood Pornstars or Malibu Stacy. Today they are counting on this first opus and its single “… and the needles” to plant their flag all around the Kingdom and progressively make themselves a household name.
